Terms and Conditions
1. Passengers Insurance
In purchasing or booking a ticket, all passengers agree to the following terms and conditions:
Insurance: The company provides insurance for passengers from 4 to 70 years old, beyond that it is recommended that passengers take out their own insurance
Please be advised that this trip may be less comfortable due to sea conditions. For safety and comfort reasons, the trip is not recommended for the following passengers:
- Pregnant women in their first trimester ( under 3 months )
- Passengers with back or spinal conditions
- Person with disabilities that may be afferted by boat movement
- Infants under 3 months of age
- Elderly passengers over 80 years old
For the aforementioned conditions, for passengers who insist on departure, it will be their personal responsibility, and the passenger releases the company and agent that made the reservation from responsibility and all claims arising later on.
2. Vessel Substitution and Delay
For safety reasons, the Company reserves the right to amend the vessel, departure time, and/or port of departure at its sole discretion, without incurring any liability to passengers. The Company shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the substitution of vessels, cancellation, or delay of any trip.
Furthermore, the Company shall not be responsible for any costs related to accommodation or alternative means of transportation resulting from trip substitutions, cancellations, or delays. Any additional expenses incurred shall be borne solely by the passenger.
Scoot Fast Cruises reserves the right to modify departure schedules and/or cancel trips without prior notice in the event of an emergency.
3. Booking Changes and Open Ticket
Open tickets are subject to seat availability and must be confirmed no later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the intended departure date during the regular season, and no later than four (4) days prior to the intended departure date during the high season (June, July, and August).
4. Baggage Allowance and Liability
Each passenger is entitled to carry a maximum of two (2) pieces of baggage free of charge, with a combined weight not exceeding forty kilograms (40 kg). The Company reserves the right to inspect any baggage and to refuse the carriage of items deemed unsafe, hazardous, prohibited, or unsuitable for transport.
Scoot Fast Cruises shall not be liable for any loss of, or damage to, baggage occurring during transit between islands, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
5. Connecting Flights
The Company operates as a point-to-point, beach-to-beach carrier and does not provide or guarantee connections with flights or other transportation services. The Company shall not be liable for any delays, missed connections, or costs incurred in relation to connecting flights at any airport.
Passengers are solely responsible for allowing sufficient time between ferry services and onward travel arrangements.
Scoot Fast Cruises reserve the right to change the vessel operating, departure time and port depending on the circumstance.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
In the event that a trip is cancelled by the passenger for any reason, the Company reserves the right to apply the following cancellation charges:
- Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to departure: Full refund
- Cancellations made between 48 hours and 14 days prior to departure: 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure or No-Show: 100% charge (non-refundable)
Approved refunds will be processed within a maximum of 21 days from the date of approval.
> Force Majeure
The Company shall not be held liable for any delay, rescheduling, or cancellation of trips caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, sea conditions, natural disasters, government regulations, port authority restrictions, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances (“Force Majeure”).
In such cases, the Company reserves the right to reschedule the trip or provide a refund or credit at its sole discretion, without further compensation.
> Company-Initiated Cancellation
The Company reserves the right to cancel, delay, or modify any trip due to operational, safety, or weather-related reasons.
If a trip is cancelled by the Company, passengers shall be entitled to a full refund of the amount paid or an alternative arrangement, as determined by the Company. No additional compensation shall be payable.
> Liability Limitation
Passengers acknowledge that participation in boat trips involves inherent risks related to marine travel. The Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or delay arising from conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to sea conditions, weather, or passenger negligence.
The Company’s liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid for the ticket.
